Dale Peterson
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Peterson's gaming career began in 1997, when he became a consultant to Lake City Gaming Corporation. In 1999, Mr. Peterson was appointed to Lake City's Board of Directors and became Vice President Finance and Administration, a position he held until 2002. During his tenure, Lake City's revenues grew from $6 million to $90 million.
Dale Peterson has 30 years of diversified experience in banking, corporate finance and gaming. He most recently served in a senior executive management capacity with Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (GCGC), first as Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, and later as Senior Vice President, Business Development. During his time at GCGC, Mr. Peterson was responsible for the acquisition, integration and financing of several gaming properties, both in Canada and the United States, of which the aggregate transactions exceeded $500 million.
Tony Lau
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Lau founded Fireswirl Systems in 1999. Fireswirl Systems was acquired by Redstone Capital in 2005 and Redstone became Fireswirl Technologies in 2006. Mr. Lau previously served as the CTO of TradeUnit Limited, a Pan-Asia business-to-business company specializing in electronic components. Prior to that, he was the CTO of Paystone Technologies, a leading Canadian payment solutions provider.
Mr. Lau earned a Bachelors degree (Honours) in Electronics and Micro-computer engineering from the University of Glasgow in 1990.
Renato Finamore, CGA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Finamore has been a certified general accountant for more than 20 years and has been involved in the gaming industry for more than 15 years. He worked with the British Columbia Gaming Commission from 1989 to 2004, as an Assistant Regional Manager and later as a Commercial Gaming Auditor. In these roles, his responsibilities included compliance, administration of new programs, recruitment and training, the development of operational policy and complaints investigation and resolution. From 1980 to 1989, Mr. Finamore worked as a Tax Auditor for the British Columbia Ministry of Finance. There he conducted audits on medium and large companies as well as individual taxpayers.
Joe Tremblay
VP of Product Development
Mr. Tremblay has 11 years of computer engineering, business development, and project management experience. Working with both private and public sectors Joe has had experience managing large development projects with teams containing 20 or more members. Joe’s educational background consists of engineering, team management, business, and financial systems.
Steven Hsieh, CMA
Director
Mr. Hsieh is in public practice as a Certified Management Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K., and of the Certified Financial Planners of Canada. In addition to his role with Fireswirl, Mr. Hsieh also serves as a Director and as chairman of the audit committee of Chai Na Ta Corp., one of the world's largest suppliers of North American ginseng.
Ji Yoon
Director
Mr. Yoon brings 14 years of finance, accounting and public markets experience, having worked in the high technology, engineering, and distribution industries. Mr. Yoon is presently Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of JER Envirotech International Corp. (TSX Venture - JER; Frankfurt Stock Exchange - KFTB) and previously Acting Chief Financial Officer and Controller for Taiga Building Products Ltd. (TSX - TBL). Mr. Yoon is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and a Business Diploma (Honours) from Lambton College of Applied Arts and Technology in Sarnia, Ontario and an MBA from Queen's University, Ontario. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and also serves on the adjudicating board of the Certified Management Accountants Strategic Leadership Program.
James C. Borkowski
Director
Mr. Borkowski has over 15 years of experience in strategic planning and brand development. Since founding StonePoint Global Brands Inc. (TSX Venture - SPG) in 1992, as CEO and Chairman, Mr. Borkowski has been responsible for the implementation and control of operations, corporate development, new business opportunities, including new product and brand development. Mr. Borkowski has also acted as a director for several private and public companies in the resource and technology sectors.
