SMS Translation

SMS Translation is a real-time translation system that allows people who speak different languages to communicate conveniently through their mobile phone.

SMS Translation is specifically designed for short, verbal sentences. As such, translation can be done easily using the Short Message System, or text messaging, of regular mobile phones. User simply need to enter the sentence to be translated and 'text' it to our system. The translated sentence will then be sent back to the originating phone, or to a designated phone number.

No specific type of phone is required to use the system, and no additional software installation is needed. Any mobile phone that can send and receive text messages can become a handheld translation machine with SMS Translation.

The core system is designed to translate between various different human languages, and so far over 1 million phases has been developed as 'seed phases' to cover a wide variety of sentence structures and presentations.
